The Invitation
To You,
Did you know that Albert Einstein himself once said that imagination is more important than knowledge? You'd think that a genius like himself would say otherwise, right? But no, homeboy pretty much said the land of make-believe is more important than reality. I'm sure that's not exactly what he meant but it's funny to imagine. Although, it sure does feel true sometimes. Our imagination and ability to dream is something truly remarkable and, to be honest, downright blissful. And when we're lost in our imagination, nothing else feels more important.
Deep diving into our minds to reach for the infinity is a luxury we all have yet few of us choose to exercise. Why is that? Is it because it isn't practical and doesn't make sense? Is it because it distracts us from reality? Maybe, but with enough nourishment and nurturing, the impossible and impractical can mold into the possible. All I'm saying is, don't be quick to cancel out the possibility of seeing flying cars in the near future. I know my Elon Musk is probably working on it right now. To say the very least, exploring our imagination is fun and entertaining. And what's life without entertainment?
Art, music, books, films and video games. Think about the dopest game you've ever played, the greatest film you've ever watched or the most chilling and euphoric song you've ever listened to. That brilliant work of art came from the crazy minds of people who weren't afraid to tap into their imagination and unlock new realities. What's great about it is that these forms of art also carry the power to inspire and motivate others; encouraging them to be better versions of themselves. When you think about it, it's amazing what one's imagination can do for others.
You're probably wondering where I'm going with all this, right? Well, the answer is simple.
I want to welcome you to a place where your imagination can go where ever it wants to go. A place that thrives off of storytelling; a place that loves the smooth and chilling rhythms of lofi; a place that desires to connect us all through stories and narrative but more importantly, a place to call home where the mind can rest and wander at the same time. Here, we'll get the chance to dream the impossible and talk about any and everything dope, even if it doesn't really make sense. I'm also going to try my best to put you on to some of my personal favorite works of art from the minds of storytellers who weren't afraid to cultivate wings and soar into the abyss.
I hope you'll stick around. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Sincerely,
Shevy. The Lofi Misfit.
